The Manifestation Game

“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” ~Albert Einstein

“What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.” ~ Buddha

Have you ever tried to manifest an object, image or idea? When we try to manifest or bring into existence that which is in our minds, we realize the incredible, limitless brain power we possess.

First, we must think of what we wish to manifest in our minds, then we must really feel the vibrational energy of that desire in our hearts. Then, when we are able to feel and put that energy out into the Universe, we attract it into our existence. That is how the Law of Attraction works.

The image you see above is my vision for the cover of the book I am writing; and though it may end up looking different with another visual or even a change in title, the idea of seeing the book cover displayed on a shelf in a bookstore makes me so, so happy! :) Every time I see it.

That is the good feeling vibration associated with the idea or concept that we need to send out into the Universe. And that high vibrational energy is what we will attract, as long as we stay positive, and faithfully believe that this vision will be a reality.

The how and when of the outcome of your desire is irrelevant. Do not fixate on the anxiety and stress of how everything will play out. What is beautiful and magical about making dreams a reality is that they are yours, and yours alone to create. And I do believe that with hard work, laser focus, and a positive mindset on manifesting, that dreams can become reality.

I manifested my teaching job before I moved to California, so I know it’s possible, and I have manifested relationships and money at various times in my life.

However, what I have learned is that there has to be a certain level of intentionality and detachment; along with an extreme faith and belief in the impossible becoming a possibility for it to work. It’s definitely an experience that is worth trying, and continuing to practice until you can perfect it.

I think that before you start vision boarding your big dreams and desires, it is a fun practice to test the powers of your mind and manifest things in your daily life. This practice will give you the confidence you need to get behind your BIG DREAM manifestations.

If you are new to the manifestation game, take a few minutes to quiet your mind and close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths in and out through your nose. Feel a calm settling in. Then, pick an object or image in your mind. Don’t overthink it. Just think of something that is not readily visible in your physical daily life and then visualize it in your mind.

For example, you can think of an animal like a dolphin, lion, cheetah or eagle. It doesn’t have to be an animal. I love flowers so I think of all kinds of random flowers. It literally can be ANYTHING.

See the image in your mind and intentionally focus on it with the idea that if you see the object/image, it is a sign of something positive going on in your life. You can also attach it to a sign that your Angels are with you or you are on the right track.

Then, let it go from your mind. Detach from it and go on about your day. Don’t worry about seeing it or not. The trick is to forget about it. But, you don’t want to forget about it to the point that if you see it, you won’t remember, of course!

And know that the image or object can show up immediately or after a few hours, days, or weeks. You could see it on your social media, on tv, in a book, out in the world or anywhere for that matter.

When I started ‘playing the manifestation game’, it took me a few weeks if not more to see something show up in my life. I think I either was trying to hard to look for it or I wasn't intentional enough about visualizing it.

But, the more I meditated and the stronger my intuition became, the easier it became to manifest things. Now, I will meditate when I wake up in the morning and think of some image and within an hour or two, I will see it pop up on my social media (on good days!).

And I continue seeing signs over and over when I put the idea in my head. I also will think of a person and within seconds that person shows up via text or call or if I want to grab dinner with a friend, then that day or soon after, they text me to make plans!

You can manifest many things; but usually the easiest objects to manifest are those that we aren’t deeply attached to.

There’s a couple of reasons for that. One is that deep down if we unconsciously feel any deep doubt or disbelief, we won’t be able to manifest it. Also, if we really, truly desire something, it can be difficult to manifest immediately because we are too attached to the outcome.

You need to be detached from the outcome to the point that you expect it, believe you’ll receive it, and feel it’s existence in your life, but you aren’t thinking about it every day. And that is hard to do when you really want something, like a job, a relationship, family or money.

It is equally easy to manifest troubled times in our life too. If we are always thinking ‘worst case scenarios’ all the time or thinking that bad things will happen, like an accident or a fall or losing money, then yes, it is likely your mind will manifest those things into existence. It may not happen overnight, but eventually it will probably happen because you are sending a vibration out of fear, stress and worry.

I have had money problems and failed situations because I worried constantly about losing a job or a relationship, and then it happened. So, that is the scary part of manifesting. It goes both ways. It’s not to say that one negative thought will wreak havoc in your life. It definitely will not! :)

But if it’s a worrisome or negatively fear-based line of thinking over a period of time, then you will likely see the results of that mindset.

Also, if there are setbacks and troubling times in your life, it’s not your fault. You didn’t ‘make it’ happen. When I learned about the Law of Attraction, I used to think that all the bad things that happened to me were my fault, and I really blamed myself for all my hardships.

But, that is also flawed thinking. Sometimes bad stuff happens because they are meant to teach us something. We are meant to learn from the setbacks and it is not a punishment.

Everything in life, whether positive or negative experiences are designed to help us grow, evolve, and move forward. Therefore, it is important to appreciate when we manifest abundance; but likewise, see the blessing in the setbacks.

So, enjoy playing the manifestation game and the more you become aware of your thoughts, the easier it will be for you to control them or change them.

And revel in the manifesting, vision boarding or whatever method you want to use to imagine a life you want to create! It should always be fun, easy, and joyful!
